One day,a little monkey is playing by the well.

He looks in the well and shouts :

“Oh!My god!The moon has fallen into the well!”

An older monkeys runs over, takes a look, and says,

“Goodness me!The moon is really in the water!”

And olderly monkey comes over.

He is very surprised as well and cries out:

“The moon is in the well.”

A group of monkeys run over to the well .

They look at the moon in the well and shout:

“The moon did fall into the well!Come on!Let’get it out!”

Then, the oldest monkey hangs on the tree up side down ,with his feet on the branch .

And he pulls the next monkey’s feet with his hands.

All the other monkeys follow his suit,

And they join each other one by one down to the moon in the well.

Just before they reach the moon, the oldest monkey raises his head and happens to see the moon in the sky,

He yells excitedly “Don’t be so foolish! The moon is still in the sky!”

I was sure that I was to be killed. I became terribly nervous. I fumbled [1]in my pockets to see if there were any cigarettes, which had escaped [2]their search. I found one and because of my shaking hands, I could barely get it to my lips. But I had no matches, they had taken those.I looked through the bars at my jailer. He did not make eye contact with me. I called out to him:"Have you got a light?" He looked at me, shrugged [3]and came over to light my cigarette. As he came close and lit the match, his eyes inadvertently locked with mine. At that moment, I smiled. I don't know why I did that. Perhaps it was nervousness, perhaps it was because, when you get very close, one to another, it is very hard not to smile. In any case, I smiled. In that instant, it was as though a spark jumped across the gap between our two hearts, our two human souls. I know he didn't want to, but my smile leaped through the bars and generated a smile on his lips, too. He lit my cigarette but stayed near, looking at me directly in the eyes and continuing to smile.
I kept smiling at him, now aware of him as a person and not just a jailer. And his looking at me seemed to have a new dimension[4] too. "Do you have kids?" he asked. "Yes, here, here." I took out my wallet and nervously fumbled for the pictures of my family. He, too, took out the pictures of his family and began to talk about his plans and hopes for them. My eyes filled with tears. I said that I feared that I'd never see my family again, never have the chance to see them grow up. Tears came to his eyes, too. "Suddenly, without another word, he unlocked my cell and silently led me out. Out of the jail, quietly and by back routes, out of the town. There, at the edge of town, he released me. And without another word, he turned back toward the town.
"My life was saved by a smile." Yes, the smile--the unaffected, unplanned, natural connection between people.. I really believe that if that part of you and that part of me could recognize each other, we wouldn't be enemies. We couldn't have hate or envy or fear.

China dog refuses to leave dead owner's graveside中国忠犬拒绝离开已故主人墓旁People living in a Chinese village have been so moved by a dog that has been guarding the grave of its deceased owner they plan to build a kennel for him.
The yellow dog belonged to Lao Pan, a single man who died earlier this month aged 68.
After his room in Panjiatun village near Qingdao city, Shandong Province, was cleared his dog disappeared.
But villagers later found the dog by the grave of its owner. Reports say that for seven days, the dog stayed there, refusing to leave.
Seeing that the dog was going without food, the locals tried to take it back to the village and gave it some buns.
The dog took the buns and returned to the graveyard.
Now the villagers are taking food and water to the dog regularly and plan to put up a kennel for it near its owner's grave.
The story is reminiscent of Edinburgh's Greyfriar Bobby, a Skye terrier who, history recalls, spent 14 years at his master's grave in the 19th century.
He is now immortalised with a bronze statue in the city and has his own website.
Bobby belonged to John Gray, who worked for Edinburgh City Police. He was two when Gray died of tuberculosis in 1858 and was buried in Greyfriars Kirkyard.
The dog apparently spent the rest of his life sitting on his master's grave, cared for by well-wishers.
Several books and films have been based on his story.

A man was going to the house of some rich person. As he went along the road, he saw a box of good apples at the side of the road. He said, "I do not want to eat those apples; for the rich man will give me much food; he will give me very nice food to eat." Then he took the apples and threw them away into the dust.

He went on and came to a river. The river had become very big; so he could not go over it. He waited for some time; then he said, "I cannot go to the rich man's house today, for I cannot get over the river."

He began to go home. He had eaten no food that day. He began to want food. He came to the apples, and he was glad to take them out of the dust and eat them.

Do not throw good things away; you may be glad to have them at some other time.

I Didn’t Know I Have Been So Rich!
There was a young man who was unhappy everyday. He always complained about his poverty and unluckiness. An old neighbour with white hair and white beard saw this and asked him, “Young man, why are you so upset everyday?”
The young man answered, “I can’t understand why I am always so poor.”
“Are you poor? You are rich, indeed.”
The young man was rather confused,“What do you mean? ”
The old man asked,“If one of your fingers is cut down, and you will get one thousand yuan from it, are you willing?”
“No!”
“If one of your hands is cut down, and you will get ten thousand yuan from it, are you willing?”
“No!”
“If both of your eyes become blind, and you will get one hundred thousand from it, are you willing?”
“No!”
“If you become an eighty-year-old man who is seriously ill, and you will get one million from it, are you willing?”
“No!”
“If you die now, and you will get ten million from it, are you willing?”
“No!”
“That’s it. Since you have already owned as much as ten million, why are you always complaining about being so poor and unlucky?”
Hearing this, the young man was shocked and speechless. He finally understood what the old man meant.
